Owl City is the name of a project formed in early 2007 consisting of one member, Adam Young.Young started out making music in his parents' basement, which he claims is a result of his insomnia. Among Young's influences are disco and European electronic music. 1980s synthpop and New Wave music is also heard in Owl City's sound.

Intro part of the song:
Bb Eb Ab 4x
Bb Eb
You would not believe your eyes
Ab
If ten million fireflies
Bb Eb Ab
Lit up the world as I fell asleep

And leave teardrops everywhere

You'd think me rude
Ab
But I would just stand and stare

I'd like to make myself believe
Ab Eb Gm Ab
That planet Earth turns slowly

It's hard to say that I'd rather stay
Ab Bb Cm
Awake when I'm asleep
Ab Eb F Eb
'Cause everything is never as it seems
Bb Eb
'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs

From ten thousand lightning bugs
Bb Eb Ab
As they tried to teach me how to dance
Bb Eb
A fox trot above my head
Ab
A sock hop beneath my bed
Bb Eb Ab
A disco ball is just hanging by a thread

Fireflies Owl City Guitar Tabs
Now first off i know this tab isn't completely right but its by ear,
its kinda hard to tab something that fast by ear, i did the best i could,
but if you play it on a good clean channel with some delay it sounds pretty good,
nobody would know the difference if you dont play it along with the song. Enjoy
I hope you like it.......
